Shri Bhagwatimata Vigilant Sacred Place
Since ancient times, in human life unique importance is given to worship of Shakti i.e. power, The place of Bhagwatimata is distinct because she eliminates distresses of distressed people. She bestows strength (Shakti) and contrivance and encourages to confront adversities fearlessly. Not only the devotees of Kolhar Bhagawatipur but innumberable devotees of Maharashtra believe Goddess Bhagwati as Mother (Mata). Shri Bhagwatimata is well known as a deity of village of Kolhar Bhagwatipur in Rahata Taluka of Ahmednagar district. It is known as a vigilant sacred place.
Kolhar Bhagwatipur a situated on the bank of Pravara River in Rahata Taluka (Tahsil) of Ahmednagar district. It is accessible via the Ahmednagar-Mammad state Highway no. 10 approximately 24 km from Shirdi, a sacred place of Shri Saibaba. In Bhagwatimata temple, we can see the combined and rare dwelling of the three and half Shaktipeethas i.e. Tuljapur's Shri Tuljabhavani Mata, Mahur's Shri Renuka Mata, Vani's Shri Saptashrungi Mata and Kolhar Bhagwatipur’s Bhagwati Mata. Innumerable devotees come to Kolhar Bhagwatipur. Due to the dwelling of the three and half Shakti Peethas Kolhar Bhagwatipur became holy pilgrimage place. Bhagwatimata fulfils the vows of devotees, answers the wishes of devotees, words are not enough to praise her grandeur.
